This is the website of South East Northumberland Stroke Support Group

The name "Strokesense" comes from our group name. We are people living with stroke, or their carers and families, and we are from South East Northumberland.

We are a support group. We are not medically qualified, but have connections to those who do. We liaise with local hospitals and professionals, and often have visitors who can assist in recovery.

We aim to help people with stroke, and their carers, with their recovery. The activities we have assist with the verbal, mental and physical recovery. Often, just meeting other people who have experienced stroke, or their carers,  helps aid recovery.

Anniversary Celebration

2017 sees the 10th Anniversary of the group, and so we organised a celebration at our September meeting .

Anyone who is a stroke survivor, carer or friend who has been part of our last 10 years, or wants to be part of our next ten years, is welcome to contact the committee for details.
